Rationing Authentication System Using QR code,fingerprint and GSM

 Rationing Authentication System 

                                                          Now a day ration card is very important for every home and used for various field such as family members details, to get gas connection, it act as address proof for various purposes etc. All the people having a ration card to buy the various materials (sugar, rice, oil, kerosene, etc) from the ration shops. But in this system having two draw backs, first one is weight of the material may be inaccurate due to human mistakes and secondly, if not buy the materials at the end of the month, they will sale to others without any intimation to the government and customers. In this project, we are developing smart rationing distribution system using QR code and Bio metrics authentication for identification of person to prevent the theft or cheating in the distribution of commodities. In this system , QR code will be used instead of current ration card and the fingerprint authentication system for authentication. After receiving materials controller send the information to government office and customer through GSM.

Introduction:

                               Ration distribution system is the major source for the poor and needy peoples from which they can acquires the rice, kerosene, wheat and sugar from the government at a cheap rate. The ration card is one of the important document which can be the identity of the proof for any individual and its family ,the person or family having ration card can receive the commodities from the government at a very low rates from the ration shops and family or person without ration card can apply for the same. Nowadays the application for the new ration card can be done online which had made the process computerized and fast too and also helpful for the person’s who hate standing in queue. The public distribution system(PDS) is form to handle this system. But the experts studies have shown that PDS suffers from nearly beneficiaries. The Government suffer thousand crores of loss due to this system.

             Rationing distribution system acquire.Of the total Indian annual budget.over Peoples get the benefits of ration. But there are limitations in the system ,most of the ration shopkeepers uses the fake ration cards and falsify the record and can sells it in market, as all the ration items are made available to ration shopkeeper first and then he distribute to ration card holder .Many a times the customers are not aware of items have arrived at shop and ration shopkeeper sells these items in high rates in market and frauds the customers as well as government. This frauds made by shopkeepers are limited at a great extent by using the authentication e. g fingerprint. In current system, ration shopkeeper manually types the card number and then scan the fingerprint of the costumers. In this paper, we use the QR code as replacement of ration card which carries all the information of customer and for authentication of customer we uses a biometrics e. g Fingerprint and GSM system. The aim of our project is to developing a secured, efficient ration card system using QR code and Bio metric

authentication system. We can stop corruption by this system at great extent.
